Newport County Board of REALTORS Contracts with R.I. Association of REALTORS for Member Support Services
The Newport County Board of REALTORS (NCBR) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a contractual agreement with the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS (RIAR) to assist the NCBR membership with administrative and membership support functions commencing January 1, 2018.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have the state association in our corner, helping us to serve and promote our membership,” said Annie Becker, president of the Newport County Board of REALTORS®. “We're confident that by combining RIAR’s knowledge of association management with our board members' knowledge of the local market, we will be able to provide superior yet cost-effective services while maintaining our independent status and the culture so important to our members.”
Specifically, RIAR will provide a dedicated employee to staff the NCBR office in Middletown, R.I. who will serve the needs of the NCBR membership with the assistance of staff in RIAR’s Warwick, R.I. office. RIAR will maintain all membership records and be responsible for all corporate compliance documentation and reporting, board communications, event coordination, and professional standards and financial management services.
“We’re looking forward to working with the Newport County Board’s volunteer leadership to deliver important services to its membership. I think that by working together, we can offer solid benefits to the membership while streamlining operations at the same time. Critical functions like ensuring compliance with the National Association of REALTORS® Core Standards and management of the member database are second nature to RIAR. Putting the state association’s expertise to work for NCBR makes perfect sense,” commented Joseph Luca, president of the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS®.
The administrative services agreement will go into effect on January 1, 2018 and membership, communications, financial management services, and professional standards enforcement will be in place at that time. However, onsite dedicated staff for the NCBR office will be in place after January.
